Great insights, Guido! I'm really interested to hear more about this project, it sounds like it's been quite a journey.

You make an excellent point about distance in writing. You talk about being present in the joyful moments you are experiencing rather than analyzing them and I think the same is true for other, less joyful experiences one may be considering writing. Time and perspective add so much to the story. On the opposite end of the spectrum, less joyful and more "when will this be over", waiting to write can let our reactions even out and allow us to be more objective. Eventually I'll be getting around to one such story, once I'm done living it, and I believe it will be a better piece of work for the waiting. So, either way, the waiting works :)

That said, I can't wait to hear more about The Cheerful Endomorph! and congrats on your joy!

Best,
Melissa

"Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life." ~ By Confusius, a Chinese Philosopher.

I agree with you Guido. Especially with difficult or protracted work it is important to enjoy what you’re doing or else you won’t succeed. I also learned that love for your work is an important factor when your task or job involves convincing people.
